Does your training meet the BACB requirements?

→ Yes, our training meets the requirements for the 40-hour RBT® Training, and covers all components of the 2nd Edition RBT® Task List. Your certificate will contain the required statement from the BACB that the training aligns with these requirements. 

Can I demo before purchasing?

→ You sure can! Book a free demo or send us an email at admin@sidekicklearning.net and we will set you up with a demo account. We'll give you full access to the training to ensure that it fits the needs of your organization.

What makes your training different?

→ While our RBT training is online, it is also highly interactive. Our modules aren't just an hour-long video with a quiz at the end. We've really broken down the content into short, visual videos to illustrate concepts with multiple practice activities in each of the 40 modules. 

In addition to the overall design of the content, we've taken time to really emphasize ethical practice and professional skills.

Our modules include discussions on topics like maintaining client dignity, trauma-informed care, collaborative relationships, the social model of disability, social validity, both giving and receiving feedback, cultural responsiveness, and when to communicate with your supervisor.

Are there any study resources for the RBT® exam?

→ Yes! In addition to the full (100 page!) visual workbook included with the training, we also have 2 full-length RBT® mock exams included with your subscription. These mock exams provide question-by-question feedback and a score breakdown by section. 

What types of practice or interactive activities are included in the training?

→ We have a number of different types of practice embedded within the training. The types of activities in each module depend on the content of the module.


Some example activities include:

  • Sorting whether an activity is within a BCBA® or RBT® scope
  • Finding and writing the corresponding ethics code item number
  • Labeling the prompts used based on a video example 
  • Matching types of differential reinforcement to examples
  • Correcting a session note
  • Drag-and-drop labeling the elements of a graph 
  • Collecting sample data and writing in the values

Each module also includes a maintenance check of previous content and a post-assessment multiple-choice quiz. 

Are there any startup or implementation fees?

→ Nope! Implementation and onboarding is included in your cost. 

Why is your RBT training priced as a subscription?

→ While we have the RBT Training, you also get access to our full learning system for use across your entire organization. 

This means you get your own training portal where you can create your own trainings and onboarding paths. Often, organizations will use the system for multiple uses-- for example for RBT training, CEUs for the BCBAs, and for the supervision curriculum for their student analysts. 

Our goal is to save you time and energy without having to constantly repurchase new training seats across different platforms. 

Are there minimum contract lengths? Can I cancel at any time?

→ There are no minimum contract lengths, though we offer a 10% discount for yearly, pay-in-full agreements.

We know your needs may change. We don't believe in complicated contracts or locking you into a plan you no longer need. 

Who counts as a user?

→ Anyone in your organization, either supervisors or technicians, counts as a user. 

Can I swap out my users?

→ Yes. You pay per active users per month.

Are you an ACE provider?

→ We are! While you technically do not need to be an ACE provider for the RBT® training, we are. You can earn BACB CEUs through our ever-growing catalog. 

What does onboarding look like?

→ Typically, after meeting with your team and determining whether our system is a fit, onboarding involves short, 1-3 individualized training sessions for your administrators and any RBT training coordinators. During this time we support you with learning how to manage the platform, add your users, track progress, create your own courses, and anything else relevant to your organization. 

However, the platform is so easy to use that some organizations opt to skip the onboarding training. 

Does your system track video completion?

→ Yes. Our system requires video completion. However, if you stop a video and need to return it will save your place. 

Do you provide the RBT Competency Assessment?

No, but we offer guidance on what to expect and how to find a BCBA to complete your assessment.

We understand that every team is different, which is why our course is designed to be flexible. Whether your staff members prefer to power through the content in just 5 days or take their time over 180 days, they can progress at a pace that suits their needs.
